The foregoing listing clearly demonstrates the need for educational support, which is most urgent for the above-named Burgher children.  The second greatest need is for gainful, permanent employment that would provide a steady monthly income.  Some of the children in the Maharagama-Nugegoda area could also attend  computer classes after school hours if this is feasible, especially those children doing their ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels as this is an important skill in today’s job market and is also useful for further education at professional level.
BurgherBOND thanks all those who have pledged support and encourages more Burghers to help as they are able, giving cheerfully and not out of any compulsion but because they want to share the blessings they have received, especially a sane mind, a healthy body, and the ability to generate prosperity.
